This has been a solid setup for me for the past few months.
Our Take
This EDC loadout leans heavily into classic, practical tools with a focus on self-reliance. It's a blend of defensive capability, utility, and a touch of personal style. The inclusion of a firearm immediately indicates a preparedness mindset, while the quality tools suggest a user who values durability and functionality. The aesthetic is somewhat minimalist, prioritizing function over flashy design.
Pros
The quality of the items is high. The Walther PPK/S is a well-regarded firearm, the Buck 110 is a legendary knife, and the Leatherman Free P2 is a modern, capable multitool. The Streamlight Wedge provides a compact and reliable light source. The Zippo with a butane insert offers a dependable fire source. The loadout covers a wide range of potential needs, from everyday tasks to emergency situations.
Suggestions
While comprehensive, the loadout could benefit from a dedicated writing instrument and a more robust wallet/card carrier. The current card carrier appears minimal and may not offer sufficient protection or organization. Consider adding a small first-aid kit or a dedicated key organizer. The loadout is also relatively heavy, so optimizing for weight could be beneficial depending on carry method.
